Pat O'Bryan has studied and practiced the Tao since his college days and, after reading dozens of difficult-to-understand translations, decided to reinterpret the Tao te Ching for the 21st Century. He calls it a Tao “that would be comfortable in blue jeans and a t-shirt”.
As part of the work he wanted to offer a free excerpt and create a companion site where readers of the Tao could review other translations and talk about them. I located 6 translations and 11 complementary texts in the public domain and created a website where you can view each edition alongside the others.
I also edited and published multiple formats for the book: collector’s edition hard bound, large format color paperback, pocket version (without pictures), Kindle & iBooks. More info about the books is at Amazon and iTunes.
