A world-renowned channeler had developed her own website(s) using a variety of WYSIWYG tools, including Yahoo Site Builder and Frontpage. With the impending change to Yahoo's hosting business she needed help bringing her websites into the 21st Century and finding a new (and affordable) web host.
Miriandra plans to make minor changes herself and conduct eCommerce with (primarily) digital product delivery. Both are key drivers in selecting WordPress for the underlying technology since WordPress is as simple as a word processor and WooCommerce does an excellent job with digital delivery. I recommended hosting that would improve performance and cut hosting costs by more than 75%.
Additionally physical product delivery was managed by Mirindra who burned CDs, printed stickers and jewel case inserts, manually assembled and shipped each order. I created CD masters and jewel case artwork for each audio product, selected and created products at a 3rd party fulfillment house, and physical products are now shipped for ~$1 per CD; shaving more than 80% off production costs and several hours of time for each order.
An extensive content audit located several missing pages and I merged her disparate sites into a hub at miriandra.com, automating both digital and physical product delivery (previously Miriandra had emailed links via YouSendIt when a digital purchase was made). Removing the need for YouSendIt realized yet another cost savings. Aggregating her content and streamlining the delivery process allowed Miriandra time to work on something she had not had time for before: Guided Meditation Audios for those in recovery.
Recognizing the niche aspect of Step Recovery, we located and registered an SEO-friendly domain name, mastered CDs and designed cases for physical delivery as well as setting up automated digital delivery.
