About Craig

I'm an engineer by training, and I've been building websites for more than 20 years. I'm based in New York City and work with clients wherever they are, lately in the UK and Texas.

Most people find me when something has gone wrong. The last developer disappeared and took the site with them. The site was hacked. Or it just stopped bringing in work. I like fixing those problems properly: fast, plain code, content that answers what people are actually searching for, and a site the owner can look after.

Websites aren't the only thing I make. I've edited and designed books, produced more than 100 issues of a monthly magazine, mastered CDs, organized marketing conferences in San Antonio and Austin, co-hosted the Viva Terlingua music and film festival in far west Texas, and done pro-bono work for the American Red Cross since 2004.

Away from the keyboard I'm happily married, a father to five and a grandfather to four, and a part-time photographer, cook and adventurer. My last homepage promised consistently bad ideas. The websites turned out better.
